Text Book of Esther:
Theme: Royal for a reason
 
<ul>
<li>Are the reasons we do things important (why or why not)? </li>
<li>What did you do this week that had an important reason behind it? (Study for a test, cleaning your room, coming to the Remix, ect.)</li>
</ul>
 
Thoughts:
<ul>
<li>Reasons are important</li>
<li>We shouldn’t do things just because but everything should have a reason behind it.</li>
<li>God doesn’t just do or allow things but God always has a reason.</li>
<li>Sometimes the reason doesn’t make sense to us or we don’t like it.</li>
</ul>
 
Scripture Esther 2:12-17
<ul>
<li>Esther became queen for a reason 
<ul>
<li>Because a queen was needed.</li>
<li>Because God allowed her to be prepared and ready for it.</li>
<li>All of the women wanting to be queen had to go through a process (verse 12)</li>
<li>When you are royal you have to go through a process</li>
<li>Process points 
<ul>
<li>Being taken away from what is normal or what you are used too. 
<ul>
<li>Esther had to leave her family in order to be queen</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Being introduced to new things and processes 
<ul>
<li>Esther had to be prepared for the King for 12 months, a full year of preparation.</li>
<li>How much do you prepare for God and what God wants to do in your life?</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Being presented at the right time. 
<ul>
<li>Esther was presented to the King once she was ready.</li>
<li>As royalty we also have to be ready for our King.</li>
<li>We have to go through a process of preparing ourselves for God.</li>
<li>When was the last time you prepared yourself for God or for Church? </li>
<li>Do we take enough time out of our week to prepare ourselves for what God wants to do in our lives or are we focused more on other things?</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
 
Final Points
<ul>
<li>God made you royal for a reason just like Esther.</li>
<li>That reason doesn’t have to be something that you understand or know about in the beginning of the process.</li>
<li>Our role as God’s royalty is just to be open to the process and be willing to get prepared.</li>
<li>Esther was queen not for herself but for the people that she was going to be able to help. (Read Esther 4:15 – 16) Tell the story of Mordecai and Esther.</li>
</ul>
